I've been traveling for a long time, and a few years back I made a decision to stay sober in life, and that included travel.

For me the two had always gone together. Airport bars to kill time, local pubs as a way into a new city, hotel lobby bars where you end up talking to strangers at 11pm. You know how it goes.

When I decided to change that, I started wondering what travel even looked like without it. Turns out, a lot of people are asking the same question. Sober tourism is actually a growing thing, and these two articles are what got me thinking about it seriously:

Yahoo Travel: Goodbye Booze, This New Travel Trend Is Taking Over Vacations

Worth a read. And if you're already on this path, you're in good company.
