How the sober dream planner works
Set your sober savings
Tell the app roughly what drinking used to cost you a week. From then on, every sober day quietly adds to your total. No ledgers, no spreadsheets, no cents.
Point it at your dreams
Dream Trips and Dream Goals: Phuket in the spring, the road bike you've wanted for years, a real camera. The app shows how much of each one your sober days have already covered.
Take the trip that's paid for
The full SoberTripBuilder planner is built in: flights, sober-friendly activities, retreats, and stays on one day-by-day itinerary. When a trip is covered, you'll know.

📰 Latest articles & guides
The newest sober city guides and travelers' stories, right on your home screen the day they publish.
The math is real
A couple of drinks out, a bottle here and there, the late food and the rides that come with it: for most people it quietly adds up to thousands a year. The app doesn't lecture you about any of that. It shows you the number and lets you decide what it buys instead.
For a lot of us, that number is a plane ticket by spring. For others it's the bike, the camera, the things drinking kept pushing to "someday".
Made for the road
Your trips and goals sync to your private TravelingSober account. Nothing is shared with anyone. When you land, it's all there: your itinerary, your goals, and sober-friendly things to do nearby.
Questions people ask
Is it only for trips?
No. Trips are the flagship, but Dream Goals can be anything sobriety makes affordable again: a road bike, a camera, gear for a hobby you shelved. If it has a price, it can be a goal.
How does the sober savings number work?
You tell the app roughly what drinking cost you per week, and it grows your total automatically with every sober day. It's a motivator, not a bank account: no transactions to log, and your lifetime Saved sober total never goes down.
Can I plan a sober vacation with it?
That's the heart of it. Pick a destination, set your dates and budget, and the planner pulls together flights, sober-friendly activities, retreats, and stays into one vacation itinerary, with nothing built around drinking.
Do I need an account?
Not to search. Sober-friendly activities, retreats, and stays are open to everyone, free, no signup. Your goals and trips are personal, so those live in your own free TravelingSober account. Creating one takes a minute inside the app.
Does it cost anything?
No. The app and your TravelingSober account cost nothing. When you book travel through partner links we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you.
Is this a recovery program?
No. TravelingSober is an independent publisher of sober travel guides and stories for sober and sober-curious people. The app is about what you're building, not what you're quitting.
Who makes SoberTripBuilder?
TravelingSober.com, an independent sober travel publisher. We write the city guides and travel stories on the site, and we built the trip planner and this app for the same readers: sober and sober-curious travelers.
Does it handle my payments or bookings?
No. SoberTripBuilder never sees your payment details. It plans the trip, then sends you to the booking platforms themselves (Agoda for stays, Viator for activities, BookRetreats for retreats, Aviasales for flights) so you book directly with them.
