Minneapolis's signature string of lakes, Bde Maka Ska, Lake of the Isles, Cedar Lake, and Brownie Lake, linked by canoe-friendly channels and ringed by the Grand Rounds parkway for biking, running, and walking. In summer, canoe, kayak, and paddleboard rentals run through Wheel Fun Rentals at Bde Maka Ska; in winter the lakes turn into free skating and skiing terrain. The parks are free and open daily, roughly 6am to midnight. Hours of genuinely good, active fun with no alcohol built into any of it.
TravelingSober.com publishes sober city guides and real travel stories for sober and sober-curious travelers: proof that adventure doesn't require alcohol.
