Khâluna is chef Ann Ahmed's full-service Laotian restaurant in South Minneapolis, at the edge of Kingfield and East Harriet. To be upfront: it has a real bar, so it is not a sober venue. What earns it a place here is one of the most thoughtful dedicated non-alcoholic lists in the city, resort-style zero-proof drinks and house lassis built around Southeast Asian flavors, made with the same care as everything else on the menu. Dinner runs Monday through Thursday 5pm to 9pm, Friday and Saturday 4pm to 10pm, and Sunday 4pm to 9pm, with brunch Saturday and Sunday 10am to 2pm.
TravelingSober.com publishes sober city guides and real travel stories for sober and sober-curious travelers: proof that adventure doesn't require alcohol.
