Radnor Lake State Natural Area - Oak Hill, Nashville, TN

About

Address: 1160 Otter Creek Rd, Nashville, TN 37220

Phone: (615) 373-3467

A quiet, protected state natural area about twenty minutes from Broadway. Easy, flat walking trails ring a still lake, and it's genuinely full of wildlife: great blue herons, turtles stacked on logs, white-tailed deer, and owls at dusk. Because it's a preserve, it's walking and wildlife-watching only. No boats, and bikes are allowed only on the Otter Creek Road Trail. It's the exact antidote to a day of downtown noise, and it costs nothing. Open daily 6AM until 20 minutes after sunset.
