The 1892 "Mother Church of Country Music" and former home of the Grand Ole Opry, still one of the best-sounding rooms in America. By day you can do a self-guided or backstage tour; by night it's a concert you go to purely for the music. Nobody needs a drink to feel the Ryman. You sit in a wooden pew, the room does the rest. Tours run daily 9AM–4PM (show days can close early; check the website).
